Actress Ellen Pompeo, known for starring in the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy since it premiered in 2005, attempted to go incognito as she ran out to complete some errands recently.
The star looked unrecognizable as she wore a gray sweatshirt with a dark blue oversized cardigan over the top, paired with loose jeans and a newsboy cap, appearing relaxed and comfortable.
Pompeo, 55, was photographed bundled up in the casual outfit while going on what appeared to be a coffee run in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Nov. 12. She also carried a couple of paper bags, although it’s unclear what was inside.
The newsboy cap is a popular style for Pompeo, who showed off a similar hat in a rare social media update last year as she paid tribute to Grey’s Anatomy co-star Kelly McCreary when she left the show.
Pompeo portrays Dr. Meredith Grey in the long-running series, Grey’s Anatomy, which is airing Season 21 right now. The show has not been officially renewed for Season 22 yet, but considering the extensive success of the series, it’s likely to continue.
In addition to Grey’s Anatomy, Pompeo will star in an upcoming series called Good American Family that recounts the real-life story of Natalia Grace, a girl who was adopted in 2010 when she was around 9, only to be abandoned by her adoptive parents, the Barnetts, after they claimed she was secretly an adult lying about her age.
